The Next 20 Years for Requirements Engineering
In the last 20 years, we've seen technical advances in our industry that enable teams to build software faster and operate it cheaper, while serving more platforms and solving more problems than ever before. The cloud reduced the bar to entry to almost zero, interconnectedness of all things completely changed what users expect of modern software, and possibilities in analysing large data volumes opened new use cases that would be unimaginable a decade ago. This is not without complications though, this new landscape requires teams to adjust their approach to delivery, how they treat risk and value, and ensure they build the right things.
In this presentation, Gojko will look at five important requirements engineering challenges facing delivery teams due to these shifting roles. He will also present some emerging ideas that will help address these challenges and inspire you to rethink your approach.
