REConf (Requirements Engineering Conference) is Europe’s leading conference dedicated to requirements engineering. It brings together experts to present and discuss new methods, trends and tools through presentations and workshops.

At REConf 2022, our participants agreed on the hashtag #gerneperdu ("happy to use first names"). We have adopted the same approach on this website and therefore address you in a friendly and informal way.
Requirements Engineering as the Foundation of the Future
Tomorrow’s world does not emerge by chance — it is shaped. In an era of rapid technological, social, and environmental change, Requirements Engineering plays a decisive role: it lays the foundation for systems that do not merely function, but are sustainable, responsible, and fit for the future.
Whether data-driven products, AI-based systems, resilient infrastructures, or digital ecosystems — anyone who wants to build “Tomorrow” must ask the right questions today. Requirements Engineering thus becomes the architect of solid foundations: bridging vision with feasibility, innovation with responsibility, and speed with quality.
But how can we shape the future with intention? What methods, mindsets, and tools help us create viable foundations for tomorrow? And how do we deal with uncertainty, volatility, and growing complexity?
The REConf 2027 seeks practice-oriented contributions and visionary impulses that demonstrate how Requirements Engineering becomes a core competency for “Building Tomorrow” — and how this gives rise to sustainable, robust, and innovative systems.
