KI4BoardNet -Distributed, continuously learning next-generation on-board network management
A vehicle's energy and data network must meet the highest standards in terms of reliability and interference immunity, energy efficiency and flexibility. Due to the multitude of new, intelligent functions and extensive data streams, the vehicle on-board network of the future will be more than just a wiring tree. Together with sensors and distributed computing nodes, it will form the vehicle's nerve and energy system.
In KI4BoardNet, new concepts for resource-optimised, continuously learning, distributed on-board network management are being researched. This includes methods for developing application-specific system-on-a-chip (SoC) architectures for the hardware-supported, accelerated execution of machine learning algorithms. To this end, the project is adapting a generator-based design process for RISC-V systems that enables flexible configuration and optimisation of the SoC architecture.
