Lt. Commander Montgomery Scott (Star Trek) "Scotty" is a fictional character in the science fiction franchise Star Trek. Montgomery Scott is born on Earth in Scotland in 2222. He has a sister and a nephew. (TNG: A Visit from the Old Enterprise; Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan). He begins his Starfleet career in 2241. In his 52 years with Starfleet, Scott serves on 11 ships including freighters, cruisers and starships. (TNG: Visit from the old Enterprise). Before 2265, Scott is a technical advisor on cargo flights to mining facilities in the Denevian system and is on flights from Deneva to the asteroid belt. In 2265, Scott is transferred to the Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. (TOS: Spock Out of Control).
